Rooted in the broad perspective of the world history of seals, this project employs cultural symbols from across the globe as its visual elements and adopts Chinese seal engraving—a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity—as its creative medium. It actively promotes the creative transformation and innovative development of seal engraving in the contemporary era, building a visual bridge and a practical model for the international dissemination of traditional Chinese culture, global cultural integration, and mutual learning among civilizations.

Since its inception, the project has been cultivated intensively over the past five years. Four times of the exhibition have been held successively, with an open call for submissions from around the world. It has been featured in more than ten sessions at over ten international events, including the United Nations Day for Dialogue among Civilizations, the World Intellectual Property Conference, and the World Expo, and has toured over thirty times across various provinces and cities within China.

In the midsummer of July, the resonant art of metal and stone heralds the opening of the exhibition on July 22 at the Ningbo Museum of Art. The exhibition is organized into three main sections: the Prologue Hall, the Main Hall, and the Annex Hall. Bringing together historical documents, selected works from the 4th edition, ancient Chinese and foreign seals, and seals of ethnic minorities, it offers a one-stop journey to understand the ancient and modern lineage of graphic seals and their path of global communication.
