Woman's social status is one of the main symbols of social progress. The social and cultural responsibilities of female artists are reflections of social, economic and cultural developments. In order to comprehensively promote female art career in Zhejiang and offer a art communication platform, Zhejiang Artists Association determines to hold "Exhibition of 2016 Zhejiang Female Artists Works".

At present, many cities in Zhejiang province have established female artists associations, such as Wenzhou, Jiaxing, Shaoxing, Ningbo, Lishui, etc. The number of female artists is growing rapidly. They are enthusiastic, creative and becoming an important part of Zhejiang art making. Many of their works have been awarded in provincial and national exhibitions.

For this exhibition, we collect 133 pieces of works, which contain Chinese painting, oil painting, prints, watercolour, comprehensive painting, etc. In this beautiful spring, we will present you a collection of paintings that are created with female penetrating angles and delicate techniques. They are in different styles and created by mature skills, which express Zhejiang female artists' thoughts, emotions and status.
